Fr. Mathew Kayani is currently the Director of Varanasi Medical Society, an NGO running a hospital and carrying out extension work in villages around Varanasi. Fr. Mathew, trained in Belgium and Canada, is an NGO leader, who besides leading VMS, has in the past provided leadership to a network of 15 NGOs in Northern India.



Dr. Aqueel Khan, a development professional with a PhD. in Women Empowerment, is the founding member and Director of ASK (Association of Stimulating Know How) & ATG (At Grassroots).

Dr. Khan has over 25 years of experience of working at national and international assignments with organization like ADB (Asian Development Bank) & World  in the fields of Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), NGO management, and sectorial issues such as Gender & Development, Micro Credit and Micro Enterprise Development, and Participatory Irrigation Management, among others.

In his current role as Director of Mitrata, Aqueel is responsible for providing vision & leadership to Mitrata for future growth.



Prabhakar Rawat, alumnus of Delhi University & Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmadabad, is co-founder of AT GRASSROOTS with over 15 years of diverse experience in financial services ranging from planning, developing and executing strategies to set up sales and distribution network, business management and expansion, client servicing, team management, social enterprise mentoring and incubation, having set up consumer finance portfolio for International giants like Citigroup & Barclays, before starting Mitrata. As Chief Strategy Officer with Mitrata, Prabhakar is currently responsible for strategy & growth of the organization. 



M.A.(RU), PGDRD (XISS), LLB (RU) and PhD, Dr. Sant Kumar Prasad is an Associate Professor in the Department of Rural Management and an Assistant Coordinator, Development Resource Centre at XISS, Ranchi. Dr. Prasad obtained his PhD degree from Ranchi University. His PhD thesis was on role of ‘NGOs and Tribal Development with special reference to Jharkhand’. Dr Prasad is a law graduate and he holds dual masters in Rural Development from XISS, Ranchi and in History from Ranchi University.

Dr. Prasad has worked in the development sector for more than three decades in different capacities in national and international development initiatives. He is also on the board of various NGOs as an advisor and consultant.



Jekib Ahmed is an engineer by education but development professional at heart with extensive hands-on experience of working on microfinance and livelihood issues with marginalized groups and communities. In the past, Jekib has worked with reputed development organizations such as PRADAN and ASK.



Mr. Pradeep Vinayak is a Master in Social work with long experience of working with reputed NGO. He is currently working in Chhattisgarh and involved with Mineral Industry through his entrepreneurial initiative.



Mr. Ahuja is a seasoned professional in business development, Sales, marketing and distribution and working as a freelance consultant in Sales & marketing field. He holds a post graduate degree and has keen interest in social development issues and causes and works pro-bono for social causes.



Mr. Ravishankar is a Chartered Accountant by education and a seasoned professional on financial reporting, compliance, Internal Controls, process Improvement, US GAAP and business process and currently working as a Senior Manager for Global Compliance and reporting to a US based firm.
